The virtual exhibition re-proposes and integrates the live exhibition Unexplored Treasures. The libraries of the University of Florence on show (Florence, Biblioteca Laurenziana, 15 February to 23 June 2017).

With the display of some particularly representative examples, the University of Florence intends to offer visibility to its valuable documentary heritage, which amounts to about four million volumes, many of them antique and of great value.

For each of the subject area libraries, specific sections have selected, within which documents have been hand-picked and completed with a short presentation.

The exhibition winds through ancient printed specimens, manuscripts and other very interesting documentary sources, thus bearing witness to the evolution of the humanities, medicine and surgery, botany and zoology, law, agriculture and architecture, with specific reference to Florence in many parts.
