This rail line, designed to partially integrate the Turin-Genoa service, was built in different stages. This document refers to the first section, from the outskirts of Genoa to the first Apennines gallery, which was opened on April 15, 1889. Most likely the publication was produced especially for this occasion. The title page, with black and red characters, shows the start and end dates, 1883-1887, and a concise mapping of the route.
