This Greek translation from Latin of the illuminated manuscript by Byzantine physician Nicetas, one of the major sources of ancient Greek surgery, was authored by the Florentine architect Guido Guidi (1509-1569). This edition is enriched by a precious iconography taken from the drawings of the school of Francesco Salviati.
