Printed and handwritten testimonials on the practice of medicine, surgery and pharmacy in Florence.
The exhibition includes images of an edition of the pharmaceutical code appeared for the first time on the Italian territory (the Florentine Recipe); the journal of the illustrious physician and scholar of the eighteenth century Antonio Cocchi; a manuscript from the archive of the Medical College of Florence, the institution historically in charge of the Florentine public health, an ancient regulation of the major hospital in Florence (Santa Maria Nuova) and, finally, some correspondence relating to the practical aspects of the teaching of medicine in the nineteenth century.
