It is the first edition of the Novellae in Greek, with a new Latin translation by Gregor Meltzer of Zwickau. It contains the public and ecclesiastical laws enacted by Justinian after the promulgation of the Codex 534. This specimen is bound together with a Basel edition dated 1521 of the Saturnalia by Lucian of Samosata, with the text framed in fine woodcut mountings.
