Octauij Pisani Astrologia seu Motus, et loca siderum. Ad serenissimum Dominum Cosmum Medicen, Anversa, 1613
In 1613, the Neapolitan mathematician and cartographer Ottavio Pisani published in Antwerp "Astrology, seu motus, et loca sidereum", a rare example of an interactive book containing wheel charts and planispheres made of mutually rotating superimposed paper disks, used to calculate the positions of the planets. This specimen, which features on the front page the Medici coat of arms, was donated to the Grand Duke Cosimo II de' Medici through intercession of Galileo.
