After the sack of the city by the mercenaries in 1510 and the dispersion of the city statutes, the podestà Antonio Zane promoted their reprint, through the collation of some private copies and the only specimen remained in public hands.The volume comes from the Court of Appeals, where it ended up after the Napoleonic suppression of the convent of the Santissima Annunziata in Florence.
