Omnia e lingua Germanica in Latinam nunc translata, Norimberga, 1716
The herbarium of the German trader Johann Christoph Volkamer, Latin version of his Nurbergische Hesperides .... (1780), is part of the cultural trend of citromania so typical of the seventeenth-eighteenth centuries, i.e. the passion for citrus fruit that makes them the subjects of numerous treaties and documents of that period.
The work consists of three books, the first of which entirely dedicated to citrus fruits in general, and to their cultivation; the other two are in fact a catalog that describes over eighty kinds of "golden fruit".
On the title page, just after the frontispiece, there is the stamp of the Webbian Library (books that belonged to Philip Barker Webb).
