Published for the editions of the journal Poesia, the official organ of the Futurism, the twenty-one unpublished poems by Palazzeschi, plus one previously appeared in that same journal, had initially been announced with the title of Sole mio. The volume, dedicated to “F.T. Marinetti soul of our flame”, is provided with a long foreword written by Marinetti himself, a detailed account of the first Futurist evening held at the Politeama Rossetti in Trieste in January 1910. The sample comes from the Parodi Collection, which collects the more than 4,000 volumes belonging to the linguist, philologist, glottologist and scholar of Dante, Ernesto Giacomo Parodi (1862-1923), a professor in the Philosophy and Philology section and director of the Bulletin of the Dante Society. The volume contains, on the page before the frontispiece, a dedication «To the illustrious writer E.G. Parodi » by Palazzeschi.
